The thing is we've had tournaments in the past year or so where we had more well known chicks and the thing was at least to me and Philly that some people were voting for who was famous rather than who was genuinley hot.
This orginally was a tournament back in January 2006 where people were asked to nominate some chicks who hadnt been in a tournament (some were relativley unknown, some just hadnt been picked yet) and from get other people's opinon on these chicks that you may or may not have heard of. In some ways it was better instead of everyone just voting for Alba and Jolie like in the others.
No one has to vote in these tournaments. It's not about if someone gets 100 or 10 votes and no is putting a gun to your head to vote in these things. It's pretty much like when your downtown or at the club and just checking out the girls that walk by, some might be average, ugly or "Barie-esque". Some might look generic, some might look hot to the next person. But if you aint feeling it you aint feeling you dont have to even enter the thread *shrug*

Ok. Now how come you can't just post all these pictures into the "Hot Women Thread" and have people vote on who's the hottest there? I've seen girls in the local mall that look better than all four of these women.

Well I said to Philly there really isnt in a need for another tournament but my reason was that people take it way too seriously and force themselves to hate or like celeb chicks they normally wouldnt (come on, keep it real it's girls and it's guys debating/arguing/pimping/hating on soemthing of course it's gonna unreasonably competitve) not because of anything else. But I mean at the end there still gonna people who are gonna vote in these polls and they got a right. If someone isnt attracted to any of them, the dont have to participate. Like I said it's not a big deal. And if your hoes at your local are hot, get a camera phone snap a pic or if they gotta myspace page or something put it and we can throw them in too. That's not even me being sarcastic, that's a sincere suggestion.

Son, there's always been the hottest woman thread but at the same time we've always had these little tournaments since like at least early- 2003 (that's the earliest I can remember). It's just always been a part of the community board.

And as far as clogging up the community forum....are you kidding me? lol dude it's community forum! It's always been a hotbed of randomness that wouldnt fit in the other boards here. I've seen thread titles like "I just put my finger in a socket and got electrocuted " to "Have you ever tried to stab yourself in the heart " to "My little nephew beat me up" (hello War Lord if your reading) to serious stuff like the Middle East, religon, politics, sports (NBA, NFL, NCAA, World Cup threads) to vote matches between fellow hypsters to just like whatever (who's the best cartoon character, best burger etc etc) each one having the equal amount large response pages. It's a crossboard of general stuff from the deep to the randomness. Where have you been? lol

It would be very difficult to arrange a tournament in the Hot Women thread as that is a long running general thread without much focus and you would get a trickle of random pictures/comments posted that had no reference to the competition (no matter how clearly the instructions are provided). Also and significantly, you can only have one poll per thread as far as I know.
