They aren't webshooters. They were a device he made to funnel his organic webbing so it would be the same shape consistently. They did it as a compromise between organics and webshooters, and then cut it out. I think they mainly did it to stop all the fanboys b**ching.

Well,i don't like the alex ross suit,but i love the spidey movie suit,it's amazing,the best costume in a superhero movie(costume:100.000$,working six months,120 layers of silk) i'm glad the sony studios don't like the alex ross concepts:spidey and green goblin suit and they chose to the classic spidey designed by James Acheson,thanks god.

While I do like the Alex Ross's design, I'm glad we got the more classic look. Though, I would've used Ross's GG costume design.
