I know a girl who's about 5', and every time she talks to me, or even stands near me for that matter, she stands like... Hip-to-hip.

Everyone should do that either way. I never understand people who have to be like right up in your face when they talk to you. Reminds me of that one episode of Seinfeld when Judge Reinhold was on and he played this guy who went nose-to-nose with people when he spoke to them.
