I get enough enjoyment out of the first Grown Ups, but the sequel is just completely abysmal.I'm the wrong person to discuss Adam Sandler because I kind of love Zohan for it's absurdity.
John Turturro in particular makes me laugh, and Micheal Buffer too. I do tend to skip anything he is in comedy-wise for the past several years because I fooled myself into thinking I'd like Grown Ups because of serious early to mid-90s SNL nostalgia brought on by the cast. I'm that person that likes everything Sandler from 1995-
1999 though, so I'm probably a lunatic or something. Mr. Deeds had me like no....just no at 15 though. Everything was hit or miss after that to me.
This just looks like nothing. Like it just exists
I know I probably won't enjoy it either, but I'm still willing to give it a watch, because of the Halloween theme and I'm a sucker for almost anything that has to do with Halloween even if its a bad Adam Sandler flick.
With Paris Berelc and Peyton List. Not that that matters to me.Yeah, as much as I may rag on this, it's a Halloween movie. And as crowded as my Spooky Season lineup is, this will probably worm its way in eventually. Sometimes you just need some dumb fun to laugh at, even if most of the laughs are unintended.
And no, I don't think this is the "Uncut Gems Revenge Flick." It seems pretty standard "Sandler and all his friends hang out and make a movie on the side." When he wants to make the Academy pay, we will KNOW. And I for one can't wait.
