In theory, yes. The need for it to be "canon" combined with a likely desire for it to be available internationally, one wonder just how much independence they will have.

I remember coming across this listing a few weeks back, but I don’t recall it being in the solicits for August. Now I wonder if an official announcement of this series is dropping at SDCC (an article today made it sound like DC’s presence would be TV-heavy) and DC is rushing this back to print like they did with some of the books around the time that Gunn first announced a handful of projects.
