Who should I vote for? Well, let me answer your question with a story, Jane56320. It was August, 2013. I, a young, naive Irishman, sat at the bar of a pub down at the harbour in Sydney. The last of my money, I just spent on a terrible pint of XXXX Gold. I was an emotional wreck after CraigDBFan's tirade and I was at the end of my tether. And then I saw him. Roose slammed the door open, giving the bar the first sunlight it had seen since noon; "VB?" the bartender mumbled. "****ing oath, ****." Roose replied. And the heavyset, bearded man slumped into the stool beside me, his stained vest giving off a brilliant aroma of egg and sour milk. He asked me who I was, how I'd got there, etc, and he took me in. I worked on his farm with his simpleton friend until I garnered enough money for a flight home. Well let me tell you Jane, he was harsh with me at first. The beatings were fierce and the obscenities he screamed at me brought hideous flashbacks of Craig. But he was a fair man, let me tell you. And I came to realise that his abuse improved me. He let me breed with his daughter, and although Hildebrand wasn't an attractive woman, it was the first warmth of a woman I'd felt in well over a year. It wasn't long before Roose called me his son. I'll never forget that final night. Sharing a bottle of Blanton's in his office as we compared Simpson's memes.

And yes, Jane, I know what you'll say. And yes, I do feel bad voting for Greens after what he did to those men in Groningen, but what Roose did for me outweighs that. I wouldn't be the successful, attractive black man I am now without him.
