Some of you will remember that a few months ago I was begging for help in listing all of the "long-lost Amazon tribes" who have ever played a role in DC continuity.
A lot of helpful suggestions came in. And once I got going, I was able to dig up several more examples in addition to the ones other fans had already told me about.
Today the finished product is finally available online. It's probably the longest thing I've ever had posted as one big document. (I'd originally estimated I might end up discussing the distinguishing characteristics of, let's say, eight tribes -- but instead I had to examine twenty-six!)
Who knew there were so many obscure Amazonian cultures floating around in DC's continuity? (And I didn't even touch the subject of "Elseworlds variations of Wonder Woman and her people.")
So, if you want to learn just how often the idea of "let's create another Amazon tribe as a plot device!" has happened over the years, follow this link to see for yourself! Long-Lost Amazon Tribes
