You know what that ending with Logan shows, it shows that he doesn't care about the x-men or the school or anyone for that matter, he just runs away from everything. This just popped into my mind really. If he was a true leader which he isn't but thats what fox where trying to do, he would have stayed his just a coward really.

if he didn't care why would he cry for Jean or Professor X?? why would he ask where Scott is? and it's obvious he cares for Rogue...so to clear things up my confused little friend the Logan Ending either shows he's gonna go find his origins on his own as a Wolverinen spinoff or he needed time away from all the drama and be on his own you know he needed his space plus in a wayw for Ratner to wrap everything up from X1 till now to make it look like a Trilogy series.

Jesus. The reason they didn't keep the Leech in the lab scene was because they figured audiences would've thought it was young Angel being experimented on.

EDIT: The reason the extended Jean's house scene was cut because it was 'too long.'

I find it interesting how they alternate between whether the audience is intelligent or stupid. In your example, it sounds like they feel the audience is stupid and things need to be crystal clear not to "confuse" them. But in other areas they are concerned that the audience is very intelligent and would have trouble digesting certain other concepts or changes.

About Rogue's alternate scene, this I directly quote from Zak Penn (or Kinberg). "For those of you that love Rogue, just watch this scene instead of the one in the movie." No explanation on why they used the other scene.
