I need help regarding my display!

Here's a pic of my laptop monitor at the 1024x768 resolution. It does this with the other resolutions too, like 800x600 making it even smaller. The only resolution that makes it fullscreen is 1400x1050.

It's really annoying, because any game/emulator I try to play the screen is even tinier!

Here's some specs:

ATI Mobility 128 AGP 2X (IBM)

Driver Version: 5.1.2001.0

Driver Date: 6/6/2001

Someone please help me out!

Ummmm do you have the ATI settings thing? like on mine i have the display like yours but also the ATI software to change settings
