I found out I have some high risk viruses including:

Worm.Alcra.F
a Win32. virus or worm. ???
buttload of Trojans

I don't know how it happened, I really dont care I just want it all gone. So How do I wipe everthing before these guys take my credit card numbers and such?

Never invest with a good virus protection?

Norton Internet Security?

It's crap, get spybot search and destroy and AVG anti virus, both are free and works good

Also what browser you using?

Save what data you want, then REFORMAT. Reformat= kills everything.

Install the OS CD, and pick new installation, and tell it you want to reformat the drive.
I suggest, even getting rid of the partitions and recreate them.

If you REALLLLLLLLY want to clean the drive first, use DBAN to entirely wipe the drive.

Downloading Spybot Search and Destory now and I'm using Mozilla.

If OS CD means Original CD then that's a no. I have an Alienware (I know, I know...:csad:) And it came with this "Respawn CD/DVD" which comes with a Image DVD. AFter an hour on the phone with some guy he tells me mine doesn't work.

Now if I use DBAN, will I need to reinstall windows?

Alright well I used spybot, which is great and cleared alot of crap. But I still Have one Problem, the big guy:

Win32.Zafi.B

I cant remove the damn thing, will AVG remove this? I know it disabled Norton for getting rid of it.

Format is like suicide = the easiest solution, best suitable for cowards.

RIght now I'm just DLing all the spyware, amlware and AVG right now to clean the **** out of my computer.

Never had that one so not sure if AVG can remove it, also you should get CCleaner or crap cleaner. Very useful removing alot of crap in your PC some which can problems later on

Try the free ones...
AVG Free
Clam AV
and a few others...

Just remember this.
Once your computer is compromised with something like this, you can never be 100% sure that our computer is secure.

Cowards? Seeing as its the best way to get rid of anything 100% i wouldn't say its for cowards.

I format my system every 2 years regardless if it needs it or not, because over time .dll files and system files can move and corrupt windows or slow it down. If i have any type of virus i just wipe my system, only take 2 hours to get everything up and running again as i have everything on disk!

I wipe my machines once every 6 months....

Yeah well they dont call you "Mr Fancy pants" for nothing do they :whatever::wow:

Heh...you know, you do it once or twice, you get used to it, and I can wipe, load, patch, install apps in a matter of a few hours...its the first time you do a machine, that takes the longest...

For instance.
I have the OS CD.
I have an up to date, patch-the-OS CD
run windows update to get new updates
install drivers that are located on a separate Hard Drive
install AV
install other apps
install games

Will I need to reinstall windows on my comp if I use DBAN Malice?

Don't try ClamWin AV, try SuperAntiSpyware instead. I tried ClamWin, and it takes all day to scan your hard drive. It's very slow. SuperAntiSpyware is very good and it's free. The only thing is, it doesn't have automatic scheduled scan and has no automatic detection features. You have to open it, and scan manually.

...and speaking of AVG (free version), I use it as well. I also heard that they provide technical support by phone toll-free 24/7, and go through the troubleshooting with you. Very recommended.

This is what I would do. If you had another drive laying around install it, then load your OS into the new drive. Once you have the OS loaded into the new drive and your using windows navigate to the old folder where the previous OS was and salvage what you need. Then reformat the old drive. The worm that infected your drive will not attack your new partition. If you don't have another hard drive then you can download Partition Magic. Create a partition on the infected drive, install the OS on there, navigate to the old folder taking what you need and wiping it out.
