Mexico City, Mexico-(MH)-Mexican World of Warcraft player Bronco Carson reported to local police on Saturday that 3 men broke into his home and beat his arms with clubs and smashed his computer. It was supposedly in retaliation for Carson stalking and repeatedly killing one of the attackers wife’s character during computer video game play.

Carson admitted to police that he had been “making it hard for her to get far in the game.” He said that after repeated online threats from the woman, she sent her husband and friends over to his house to “take care of him.” Carson later said that he had made the mistake of telling her where he lived and “if her husband was man enough to just come meet me to settle this.”

I used to play in a RPvP server and while i enjoyed the PvP my wife who played with constantly got ganked by some hordies. I guess this "tough guy" would think twice next time.

I hate that in games like these, some people forget that there are real people on the other side and that certain actions can affect others' feelings. I don't buy into the "PvP happens" crap, there's PvP and just pure e-peen stroking. I laugh because I don't sympathise for the guy who had his ass whupped lol.

Dude, grow up.

Man. I don't care how annoying you are on a online game, or forum. Having your house invaded, & getting the sh** kicked out of you is just stupid.

The whole reason why I don't play that much online is because of annoying kids, & what not. I just don't bother. I am not going to get all tweaked out about it. The people that actually took time out of there lives to beat up some one are bigger losers than the dude who was just playing a game.:whatever:

Reminds me of that southpark ep they did on WoW

Hahahaha

Classic.

Someone posts a story about WoW and it reminds you of when South Park did an episode on WoW?

How do things like this happen??!?!!??

If that guy was ******ed enough to give his address to that woman, as far as I'm concerned he deserved it.

This is why, if you're going to do that "Oh YEAH?!? Well since you think you're so tough, here's my address. Come on over if you're so tough!" - Thing.....You have to give them someone else's address. :whatever:
What blundering novice.

Actually, that was one of the funniest SP episodes ever and I knew next to nothing about Warcraft before seeing it.

I wish there was pics of the guy who was attacked

lol this story would have been funnier had he actually given an incorrect address and the husband had beaten up some innocent person :woot:

I would be inclined to walk away from this statement if I actually considered South Park to be even remotely funny, but I don't... so I didn't.

I do think it's funny that allow yourself to be updated about current social phenomena from a sophomoric cartoon. :o

's'what I'm sayin'...would've been so much cooler if these Slingblades could've learned a haunting lesson about how ******ed you have to be to cause someone bodily harm over a VIDEO GAME.....though I also enjoy the *****ebag griefer learning a lesson about how ******ed you have to be to f*** with someone online and then give them your real address...so I'm torn.

Wilhelm2Cool4U, I'm coming over your house to kick your ass.

Here's the thing, the "It's just a game" mentality would be fine if you're playing something on your PS2 or Nintendo or whatever. Where you can play to your heart's content but when you die, it's saved, can hit continue or what not.

In WoW, there are complete jerkwads that would corpse camp, gank or whatnot to the point that it's no longer playable. Now myself as a PvPer, I don't care, I laugh it off, whatever but when someone does that to my wife, it's a whole different story. Killing them once, fine. It's just a game. But camp them, to a point where they can no longer play. Well that ****'s just not on.

There has to be a point or degree of maturity in there that would make the other person realize, ok, this is a real person on the other end and maybe this ain't fun for them anymore. There's a point when it's no longer PvP

But oh well. IMO the guy deserved it, he even admitted to making the game difficult for the other guy's wife. He was just plain old stupid.

Come on people, how many guys named Bronco do you know?
If you know one, there's no way he's mexican.

He's totally Mexican, dude. I mean, hell, the word "Bronco" comes from a Spanish word meaning "rough". Apparently he likes it rough and that's exactly how he got it, too. In Spanish.

So, we need to maintain a level of maturity in Azeroth...but we can round up a posse and HIT PEOPLE WITH CLUBS in real life.

Okay, that makes zero sense.
How about....oh.....reporting the corpse-camper to the WOW authorities to have him banned.

I was banned from Asheron's Call just for standing in the middle of town and yelling obscenities....no where near as bad as harrassing someone to the point that they can't even play. :o

And gold farmers are banned by the hundreds.

But no, instead we'll do the "MATURE" thing and attack people with clubs, like Targ the Barbarian.

:o
