Alcon Looking Into "Icons" Adaptation

Alcon Entertainment is in talks to acquire the film rights to Margaret Stohl's young-adult novel "Icons: The Book of Sorrow" says Variety.
The debut novel in a planned 4-5 book series and set on a future Earth post-alien apocalyptic invasion.
Said aliens have turned buildings into deadly icons, capable of shutting down all forms of energy and reducing living things to dust in seconds. The only hope lies in four children born immune to the power.
Alcon is already adapting another young adult novel series of Kohl's, the supernatural drama "Beautiful Creatures". That film will open next year.
