I also don't think the Dread Lord Of Apokalips is in BvS. Seriously... We'd have heard about that role being cast by now.
However, in general put me down for CGI/Motion Capture. It's just too versatile a tool these days. We have more than enough evidence at how far we've come these days, from the new APES films to the PIRATES films to Snyder himself creating entire CGI clothing and armor. Even films that people are going "See... SEE... Practical is so much better.... look at FURY ROAD" actually contain an enormous amount of CGI in order to bring the director's visions to life.
Practical make up actually turns out to be impractical for today's big budget blockbuster films, in comparison to CGI/Mocap. You can cast ANYONE for these parts using Mocap and the actors also have greater physical freedom of movement with little to nothing restricting their performance. You can integrate the character more easily with the rest of the remaining SFX which WILL be CGI. You don't have to slow production down and thus add to the budget by having to take time out from shooting for reasons ranging from make up touch ups, overheating, bathroom breaks ect. Those all are inconsequential with Mocap, but big considerations with make up.
Sorry, but we reached a tipping point on this some time ago. This really is starting to get silly that some moviegoers keep bringing this idea up in this context. Practical makeup still has a place in film, sure, but it's less likely to be used in the wanna be mega block busters.
