how will it be collected? Will one book be one month of the story, or will there be more stories in each volume?

You'll be buying about 8 TPBs when all's said and done.

since it's four issues a month i don't see it being more than 7 tpbs comprised of eight issues each, with the last one having bonus material to fill out the last tpb. then, probably an absolute edition later on, as leaguer suggested.

Thats common sense, now think business sense. 12 TPB's, one for each month all at $10.:o

yeah they might try that. if they do it that way they'd probably throw in "bonus material" in each issue, since four issues wouldn't make very filling tpb.

Well you got the origins and hostory of the DCu garbage.

true. i was including them within the indivdual issues, but I guess they could compile those at the end of each tpb to fill them out a bit more. what's the page count on an indvidual issue, including the origins and history of the dcu recaps?

I think its 22 pages, and 4 pages for the History of the DCU and 2 for the origins.

yeah, that seems a little light for individual trades if they just issue one per month's worth of material. i'd prefer at least six issues worth of material per trade if i'm spending upwards of $15-$17 per trade, but we'll see. i guess it doesn't matter to me, though, since i'm planning on continuing to buy each issue on a weekly basis.

Well, if they go for 4-issue trades, I'd expect them to make the price 10-12 bucks, not 15-17.

How about 4 trades, one for each quarter of the year?

They should do it a month at a time, meaning 4-5 issues.

52 Vol 1: August
52 Vol 2: September

And so forth

didnt they say the history and origins are going to be in a seperate TPB?

That would be great--they really are a seperate entity, and would be kickass in a single volume.

I don't see why Dc wouldn't make 1 or 2 trades. Remember, they aren't marvel. They actually keep things together. I have founda bunch of graphic novels from dc with 10 or more issues. And the Return of Superman had like, 50 or something. I hope they'd make em all 1 or 2 for 30-50 bucks.

Personally id love 2 Absoulte Hardcovers.

They don't even have to be hard cover, just 1 or 2 books. I hate it when they are in a million volumes! Its like they are doing floorplay because they take forever to release em. I hate that!

Well you can always buy the single issues and stop crying about it.

Yeah, cause I have 130 dollars laying around to buy all of them. But actually, its more to go back and buy the old issues people sell for 5 bucks now. And, check my math...it's right.

Its really $10 a month. You can feed a kid in Africa for a year with that.

No I can't Sally struthers will eat the food before the kids can get it! :csad:
