IGN Exclusive on LGF's 8 animated Marvel films!

They said Teen Avengers is not necessarily the title. Could still be Young Avengers or maybe they'll call it Runaways. Who knows. Whatever they feel will make them the most money.

if you can 100% prove continuity within any of the shows crossing over, be my guest

there are plenty of examples that i could use to disprove it, and I mean spoken proof rather than soundtrack sampling.

I could use, iron man in hulk and hulk in iron man references
hulk in fantastic four and ben grimm in the hulk references
doom in spiderman, fantastic four and hulk references
or thor in the fantastic four and also thor in the hulk

not to mention the varying designs for the hulk in his own show, fantastic four, iron man and seen in clippits of the x-men.

i won't even bring the surfer into this but there is no evidence from his own show that he has contact with doom or the fantastic four previously.

in none of the twelve instances there does anyone show any involvement to anyone from another show previously. Nor our any of the events covered referenced and again, there is no viable timeline or chronology.

I don't know what you wish to show to counter this, it's fairly conclusive but feel free to do so.

SPIDER-MAN TAS and X-MEN TAS were set more or less in the same continuity.

The FF,IRON MAN,and HULK cartoons were set in the same continuity that's why there were references made in the HULK cartoon about past contact/confrontations with both the THING and IRON MAN.

Other then those 5 cartoons, the Marvel shows were NOT in the same continuity.

Sounds cool and all but, Teen Avengers?? Why not base it on YA? I could see that done in a Saturday morning style.

Well considering the fact that the show is set in the future and is about the next generation of AVENGERS, TEEN AVENGERS seems like it has more in common with A-NEXT (AVENGERS NEXT) then YOUNG AVENGERS. And A-NEXT came first.

There are references to prove and disprove what was canon between the five core Marvel shows of the 90s: Spider-man, X-men, Hulk, Iron Man and F4. The most proof comes from Spider-man. X-men guest starred with the same voice actors and Storm even came back for the Secret Wars. Same deal with Iron Man and War Machine.

The F4 however are kinda sketchy since they appeared in different costumes and had different VAs (minus Torch). That said, the F4 had the most number of cameos that didnt match up. For instance, in the final episode, Dr.Doom clearly battles the Avengers featuring Cap, Herc and She-Hulk (might be some others I forgot). This contradicts what SM:TAS did with Cap and She-Hulk was always on the run. Hell, even the Scarlet Spider showed up in F4, which makes it seem like an alternate universe. BUT a later episode of Hulk showed they shared continuity, despite the earlier apperance of Hulk not really matching up with his show's character. The same about Iron Man. Hulk wasnt that way in his own show, but in an episode of Hulk featured the Iron Man from seen in Spider-man and his self titled show.

So basically, you could argue they were the same universe, but with a whole lot of continuity problems. Thats probably what they were going for, but unlike the DCAU, the same people didnt work on every show.

Here's hoping to a rated R animated Punisher movie! And I'd love to see an animated Daredevil (with the Frank Miller origin).

I just watched Iron Man. The animation is improving, but the story and action is so convoluted in these Marel films. They are all definitely renters. I'm sure I'll check them all out but unless they dramatically improve those aspects, I don't plan on buying.
Though I must admit, the 5 minute preview of Doctor Strange looked pretty good. It was better than the whole Iron Man movie.

8 more movies ugh. I hope they improve. So far Marvels animated projects these last few years have not been very impressive.

Let me fix this quote:

So far Marvels projects these last few years have not been very impressive.

aaahh, better.
carry on.

I'm very interested in the Iron Man animated series and what it will look like, and am very open to another Iron Man Direct to DVD movie.

The look of Invincible Iron Man was impressive but the story was lacking. It would make an incredible pilot for an ongoing series. Too bad LGF will keep Marvel from branching off using this look. An all CGI Iron Man may not cut it. I have a feeling it'll look as bad as that MTV Spider-Man flop.

"Fantastic Four is expected to return to Cartoon Network in May or June."

Why? This anime style garbage is geared for ten year olds and under. Marvel publishing made their way by talking up to kids and appealing to adults at the same time. Why change now? The FF Fox Kids was juvenile crap that didn't take. So, they try more juvenile crap but this time in the God awful anime style? Great idea. FF turned me off and that's a hard thing for any Marvel product to do.

Bring on WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN, however! (Pleeeeeeeease NO anime!)

dont you love how ANIMATION is taken seriously everywhere but america????

other countries get GHOST IN THE SHELL and ANIMATRIX and WOLFS RAIN or SAMARUAI CHAMPLOO... we get the **** animation that marvel tries to market to 7 year olds that are based around stories that are sooo "R" it isnt funny! Then on top of that.... the art is somehow a step down from HENTAI. With such a wonderful format like art and drawing and animation... i would like to see someone take the form serious and market it towards my age group.

the only american animation i can say i can get behind would be IRON GIANT... and that is sad

let them make a spiderman 2099 animated movie.....that could be a great piece of work.
and if it fails to deliver fanboy enthusiasm,(unlikely,i think) no harm done....the comic series is canceled about eleven years ago. :o
but let's face it:his costume is one of a kind....his rogue gallery [email protected] they have (more) creative freedom, because it isn't in the regular marvel universe! (not, that it ever stopt them from *****ing up,origin stories from regular marvel heroes!)
and maybe.....just maybe we might get the x-men 2099.....doom 2099....and punisher 2099 movies, wich could have crossovers or small cameo's from each 2099 character.
otherwise,i would love to see a doctor doom movie!
don't care much about teen avengers.
