Why is this proving so difficult?

I've been trying various online converters (terrible quality and watermarks) and freeware for a couple of hours now. I'm about to go crazy. Does anyone have any relatively simple suggestions?

I downloaded GIMP but can't get the GAP add-on to work. The program says it doesn't recognize the file even though I downloaded them both from GIMP's website.

I haven't used GIMP but if you do have Photoshop CS 3, 4, or 5 I can help you out.

I use GOM Player for capture and ImageReady for editing. I tried GIMP once a long time back but I wasn't a fan of it..

What type of video are you trying to convert?

yes this is the very good idea because at the time of making gifs we should take care of the some software like total video convertor or the movie convertor .there are many software which used for making the gif from the video files.

I have this strange feeling I had to download an earlier version of GIMP (2.4 or 2.6 maybe), install GAP, then upgraded GIMP to the latest version.

What's GOM Player? Can it capture footages from a movie? That sounds like something I'd be interested to look into. :yay:

Go google it.

It's one of the most versatile free media players out there..There's pretty much nothing it can't play.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been thinking about a way to capture footages from a movie to make GIFs with, and it's great to know that there's a program that allows me to do it.
