Iron Man Iron Man vs Iron Monger

How would you rate the showdown? I think it's always going to be over-shadowed by the middle east scene. That was one, if not the, scene that sets Iron Man apart from most comic book movies. The showdown was just too typical. Oh well. Fingers crossed for improvements in the sequel.

I think this was the weakest part of the movie. I'd almost go so far as to say that it sucked.

Yeah, the last act seemed a little flimsy. Nonetheless, I just put my brain away and thoroughly enjoyed the pretty fight

I thought it ****ing rocked, are you kidding me that was pure comic gold. I think that it was better than any of the robot battling in transformers. Its only problem was that rocketing and freezing scene and its length. About 4 or 5 more minutes would have made it. They also cut it just a little too quickly for my taste

Yeah, it seemed kinda rushed. I just didn't like the way Stane climbed right into the suit and knew how to work everything, while Stark is the one who created the prototype and he couldn't even work it properly right away. After that terrorist attack scene, it would've been hard to top it anyhow...

I did too, but Transformers is an overgrown piece of **** and everything about it sucked royally.

I thought the Iron Man end fight was ok, definitely one of the weakest parts of the film, but not too bad.

I liked Iron Man catching the car, spearing Iron Monger into the street, and giving him the chest blast.

The action was great, with a real sense of weight and brutality. The dialogue was awful, which made it hard to concentrate on the action. I thought the minivan thing was pretty stupid.

the battle with him and Monger was lame. Nothing special at all, it starting to get boring. I think any director could of come up with that, you know but other than the last fight the movie was great

I thought it was well Done as a Action Sequence , However The dialogue at some parts was very hard to understand because of armor, I hope they increase the volume voice speakers inside the armor in the sequel .

WAY too typical for a film that really sets itself apart in a lot of ways from the standard contrivances and cliches of its peers. I was expecting much more, especially after the Middle East scenes. The end of the fight involving Pepper was extremely disappointing and failed to deliver almost any sense of suspense.

That being said, I really enjoyed most of the movie itself.

The way that Iron Monger moved, I thought it was awesome!!!! I was on the edge of my seat all throughout that battle. I also loved the deeper, mechanical voice for Iron Monger itself.

Well, to Robocop 2's credit they didn't have FX like CGI to help RC2 move with more fluidity. I don't hold that against the movie at all. Each climactic battle was good in their own right.

Can anyone clearly define why they hated such an awesome battle? Would they have rather preferred the shaky cam, vomit inducing, confusion Bay is fond of?
