Looking at comic book sales charts for DC and Marvel and Marvel beating DC on every end and Marvel fans insulting anyone who saids the DC is coming out with better stories then Marvel seems to be working for Marvel. Marvel success of Civil War and fans cutting down anyone who saids they where unhappy with it's ending over the fact that DC's 52 is telling a better story. But that don't matter with fans attacking anyone who disagrees with them and their vows along with Marvel near Fascism vows as well. Marvel had a clear message to the old fans of back then and that is to go away and not come back the new Marvel are going to help build Marvel now. Message sent and understood and with Marvel high sales it looks like DC should do the same. Come up with a story to have the DC superheros to start beating the crap out of one another and if fans complain about this get other fans to make fun, cut down, or just insult them at every turn to make them feel like crap then maybe sales will go up for DC.

what the hell are you rambling about? man... just wait until ASSHAT gets here...

I'm pretty sure 1/2 those marvel fanboys are buying 52 anyway. it's not like you cant get both.

What the?? This is such a crock of cr*p - "with fans attacking anyone who disagrees with them and their vows along with Marvel near Fascism vows as well." If you're going to rant about something, at least make it make sense!

that was the worst-written rant i've ever seen. and if i understood your meaning, the content of said rant is almost dumber. DC is not as big as Marvel now, but they are still making money, and here's a little knowledge for you, "fascist" tactics by Marvel fans will hardly put DC out of business.

you should buddy up with your english teacher and beg for assistance.

Man, wheres that don't drink and post pic?

Anyway, you must be new to comics. That s**ts been going on for years. I think. I'm still not entirely sure what the hell you just said.

Look at it like this, people are *******s. In every form of fandom you got the my stuffs better than your stuff crowd. Deal with it, and move on. DC's not going anywhere. Not as long as Warner Brothers can make money off of it's characters. (and mine the comics for possible story lines.) So don't let the Zombie bastards get to you.

And please, Sober up before you post a reply.

Doesn't Supergirl beat up another hero every other issue or so?

I don't know, I stopped reading that s**t a long time ago.

I might check it out with Garza doing the pencils. I like her artwork.

Ale Garza's a guy, dude. :o

This thread is ******ed. DC's not going anywhere. Furthermore, while it could have been argued that DC was publishing better comics during the build-up to Infinite Crisis, it's pretty clear that Marvel and DC are both publishing more than their fair share of utter crap now.

Ask and ye shall receive.

To the thread maker, dude, you should follow your bot and be gone. If selling less than Marvel was gonna make DC gone then they would have been gone a long time ago. Why would DC want to be Marvel of Marvel Lite? What's the point of it, to make all the comics the same? Despite Corp's comments, for weeks now I've slowly been noticing how much more I'm enjoying my DC comics. This week (I got my comics late) it reached a peak with JSoA #4 where I realized a Marvel comic hasn't made me feel this good since this whole CW crap started. Not even Annihilation, which is almost a DC kind of comic for me because of the writers involved with it and considering that the sequel is also going to be written by ex-Legion of Superheroes writers I still see it more as a DC comic in disguise than a Marvel one.

If I was you I would spend more time in whatever street you stand with your "The End Is Near" sign and less time on the Hype, spare us the hysterical doom & gloom routine. Thanks.:)

^ OUCH!

Which DC books are on your s*&tlist currently, Corp?
Most of DC and Marvel's bigger titles. Batman, Action Comics, Green Lantern, Teen Titans, Justice League of America, Outsiders, Green Arrow, Robin, Supergirl, The Brave and the Bold until Waid starts teaming good characters up, The Flash before Guggenheim took over, anything Ultimate, anything Marvel Adventures, Punisher War Journal, both faux Avengers titles, New Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four until McDuffie took over, Black Panther, all of these stupid comic adaptations of books that are wasting good writers and artists' time when they could be working on comic characters' titles, just about everything X-Men-related, anything Warren Ellis, Brian Bendis, or Mark Millar write in the mainstream superhero genre... that's about all I've got for now.

I'm still enjoying most of what DC churns out, and I've all but dropped most of my Marvel titles since Civil War started/durated/ended...

And after Cap.#25....I'll probably only collect Marvel stories I want by Trade from now on.

Corpie seems a little uptight. I'm enjoying those first five DC books on his ***** list, both Avengers titles, Ultimate Spider-Man despite Bendis dragging storylines on forever (I'm a sucker for witty dialogue) Thunderbolts are downright creepy.

Oh wait. It's trendy these days to hate on the popular books, because it shows how much of an individual you are and how these highly popular writers are nothing but over paid, over publicized hacks. So in that vein, Johns and Morrison suck as well. And let's not forget those talentless pieces of crap Simone and Brubaker as well.

We all know none of these guys could sell a comic book to save their life.

Let's all be cool and hate everything.

:wow: I could agree with some of those titles, but not all...

As I stated in the DC forum earlier this week, I read the new JLA #1-6 over the weekend and it was much better as a whole than seperated out over months. And I still like Green Arrow quite a bit. The Batman arc "Grotesque" I haven't even gotten to yet, so I can't comment. And while I disagree with "rewriting" history over and over (ActionComics), I am tollerating the current arc with patience for the end product. The rest I might throw to the dogs as well.

Yes, I'm totally hating those books so I can hop on the bandwagon with the super-cool kids. I forgot that since you enjoy those comics, everyone else in the world must as well, otherwise we're just know-nothing haters who want to gossip about how lame good comics are at our sleepovers. Heaven forbid someone have an opinion that differs from the great and powerful Purple Man. :whatever:

Oh, we're here...and that is the NEW dumbest thing anyone has said on these boards.

By your logic, HP should go out of business because Dell sells the most computers? Does that make sense to you? If it does, take the ball peen end of a hammer and drive it straight into your forehead. That stinging feeling would be COMMON SENSE.

I've been a Marvel fan my whole life, and I do like Marvel better (But DC is coming up fast) honestly though, I like DC's current books waaaayyy more then Marvel's. Marvel may have more sales currently, but I think they are doing way worse then DC as far as story quality and overall enjoyability goes.

Also, maybe i'm just a purist, but I really don't enjoy any of Marvel's Ultimate universe...its just an inferior product IMO.

DC's basically been on an upswing since 2002. They may have had a slight setback once all of the OYL books were launched to mediocre reviews, but most of the titles have rebounded since then.

You think DC should have a Civil war?! You've got to be kidding me. The reason I like DC now is because they don't have all this hero fighting hero bullcrap. Marvel is heading downhill, and honestly, if they want to get rid of their old fans...the people that got them where they are today, thats fine...I won't be buying a single new Marvel comic anymore...Cap's death was the last straw. DC is getting my money these days, and i'm happily doing so because Joe Q is destroying Marvel, and thats fine because if he is actually stupid enough to want to get rid of the fanbase that brought that company to fruition, I don't want to give him a red cent of my money and I won't. RIP Marvel, your glory days are over. DC keep the great stories coming!! (I have hundreds of marvel and dc tpb's, I love old Marvel and DC and I will never stop reading those. There is enough history in Marvel's universe before they started sucking to keep me happy for a long time)
