With the vast number of stars and black holes deep in space. Is it arragant of us to assume there is no other intelligent life capible of breath oxygen.

I mean did the Angels have to much chilli one night and had a gas party. Not very likely. There has to be other life for why all the planets even in the milkyway.

Other part of my question is this. One hopes it to be ET but do we want to meet another race from the stars. I mean you could get A Predator, Species or Boba Fett.

Also the government must be smoking the the good old peace pipe if they think we as people don't know they do something not normal at Roswell and all this sightings are not balloons. Are they aliens who knows but something freaky goes on in the New Mexico desert.

E T phone home, but what if he didn't pay the phone bill? :(

well we dont know if there are black holes... there just some scientists theories on why there isnt enough matter in space for the big bang to have happend, so with black holes, the big bang still happend, but matter got sucked into the holes

I truly hope so... I would love to make first contact with another race from the stars.

I've always thought of that being so cool, even before I got into Star Trek... just being able to say "hello" to an intelligent being from another planet, learning its cultures, traditions, beliefs, and civilization...

It's all so fascinating to me.

i think it's naive to believe that we are the only intelligent life in the universe. i also find it naive to think that life can exist only in the conditions that we are aware of, or that there aren't other elements in the universe that we aren't even aware of. what i'm saying basically is that it's completely probable that there is intelligent life somewhere out there that may not even be carbon based, or could even survive in earth's atmosphere, climate or other conditions.

If we exist, they exist. The only problem is somehow communicating. It is fascinating to wonder if they're already here or not...

Yes, they exist. Considering the size of the known universe, it would be silly to think otherwise, IMO.

I think there is. I see no reason why not. Just because you have yet to encounter something doesn't mean it's not there. I haven't encountered a black hole but trust that after all of the observations to the contrary that they do in fact exist. If we didn't believe in what hasn't been encountered organized religion wouldn't be around. I doubt I'll meet or be able to discern an alien from the crowd of life in this universe in my lifetime, but you never know.

Yes. And the government is hiding it. They don't want us to be scared.:whatever:

Yes. There has to be some other intelligent life out there.

It'd be pretty impossible to contact them though :[

Why contact alien life forms when you can catch 'em all?

Of course.
The universe is too big. We are so much smaller than we think.
For all we know, God could've created a part of the universe where superheroes exist.

I believe David Bowie was the first man to ask this question, and the answer was yes.

Turns out, it's in the form of spiders.

i'm beginning to think that we ARE aliens. we're ridiculously smarter than any species on this planet and even though we're the technically dominant species...we are the ones who are the least naturally in tune with Earth. not to mention we, as a species, are fairly young compared to the rest of the species here on Earth.

of course, there are always things that go against that such as, why do we share so many genes with so many species and such but that's why i said i'm just STARTING to think that way...hehe. i know it's a wild theory but i like to ponder on it...

You know, this kind of has me thinking: could God be considered an alien life form? A higher form of intelligent life, living in a further landscape of our universe (Heaven), who has not yet made visual contact with other life forms (except through prayer, which is not visual)?

Personally, I say no, I just want to hear other people's opinion.

I guess it all depends on what we consider "aliens".
Most people think of "aliens" as weird looking lifeforms. That is probably not always the case.

Well, like I said, I don't think so. But when it put into perspective, someone could easily say yes. I mean, God does have similarities to alien lifeforms. I guess the reason I'd say no is that aliens are human lifeforms, whereas God is a spiritual force.

I agree with that.
God is definitely a force, not a physical lifeform.
I guess you had a typo with aliens being human lifeforms. :-)D)

I already had a thread on this. I believe it is very possible God and angels are aliens. Check my user name and threads I've started for this.
