My first guess would be yes. I had seen ad very similar to that one, yet this product isn't being sold on legitimate sites like Amazon or Best Buy. I wouldn't send my money to anyone I really didn't know. On the other hand if you are brave enough to chance it and actually get what you ordered, let us know so we can buy it too.

I am inclined to believe this actually MAY be a legitimate product. Nick Tunes is an offshoot of Nickolodeon, a legitimate site. It is possible that Nick Toons has exclusive rights to this material and isn't allowing it to be sold at Best Buy and Amazon. I think I may be bold enough to order this for myself in a week or two when some bonus money comes in. I'll let you know what happens if I do....

Actually, it is Nicktoons ... not Nick Toons, as the site has it listed. So it is possible that they are just using a very similar name to give people a false sense of security. I am sure you could still buy it, but it would not be anything official.

And why would Nicktoons or Nickleodeon have anything to do with X-Men. They are usually on Cartoon Network (Toonami) or Fox Kids.

You have a point. I went to Nicktoons and found a merchandise page here:

They list on the left, all of their DVDs for sale. X-men is not listed nor did I find it doing a search. I am a bit reluctant to order that set now.....

it's not up to Marvel, it's a matter of who owns the rights. My guess it has to do with who owns Toonami.

You would be better off just buying this off EBay. At least there you can see how the seller is rated. Wherever you get them, they are going to be bootlegs since an official release does not exist.

My concern with buying this off of EBay is the quality of the recordings, never mind the fact that it would be illegal.

Its bootleg. Disney owns all the rights to marvel toons after buying fox family from Saban. So no this Nicktoons place is also fake and has nothing to do with Nick or its owner viacom. Which has nothing to do with disney. Who owns the x-men.

You can find EBay members w/good quality versions. All you really need to do it check their feedback. Believe me, if the quality of the vids suck, it will reflect in their feedback. I bought a set off someone on EBay and was very pleased with the quality.
