Check the main page. Given this is a Fox movie, it´s so freaking refreshing to see for once they´re not rushing out the script. If you saw The 25th Hour, you know Benioff can deliver a kickass script.

Okay, it's a prequel for sure, and they aren't getting into the japanese stuff.

So I take it there might be a prologue of him as a boy from the Origin story, and it'll deal with his life in Canada. They had better involve Sabretooth, and when he worked for the governement etc.

I'd love to show Sabretooth and Logan as partners then showing how Sabretooth got out of hand, like in the comics when they were suppose to protect that woman and when they got her info or whatever Creed just killed her.

Here we go baby! The time has come!

No Jap stuff is a bummer but I think we can understand how they will eventually fall back on that. That pretty much means no Silver Samurai, etc.

I'm betting this movie is based on the Logan's life as James Howlett, how he becomes logan, how Sabretoothe works with Logan, then how Sabretoothe hate's him and is jealous of the weapon x project, the weapon x project, the escape, and what becomes of logan before he joins the xmen. Basically a lot of mean ass Logan and the tricky government.

I hope they cater this film to an older audience now...I think that along with The Punisher, Wolverine is one of the most violent characters in comic books. They need to show that violence because its the only real way this film can be done right...Though either way im gonna see this movie...

Maybe they can get into the Jap stuff in the sequel of the prequel. Jackman said he wasn't ruling out a sequel.

yeah, its good to see that at least when it comes to Wolverine, they dont do a half-ass job and actually work on the project before it gets released, unlike with all the trilogy. If only they did this to the X-men...there's life outside of Wolverine :(

maybe it would be better if someone told that to FOX? :(

It all starts with the Quesadilla, though. If comic books stop putting so much unnecessary attention on Wolverine and signing him up on every freakin' super-team conceivable, FOX and the rest of Hollywood won't exhaust all of their energy on the character trying to follow fads and what sells.

i see...damn. I dont hate Wolverine, i like him, i even go to costume parties dressed as him (mostly because, this way, i know i'll be recognised :p) but his overexposure is killing all his charisma...i want a damn team movie, not a Logan and His Amazing Friends. Maybe he going out for his spin-off would leave place for the real X-men team (only in my dreamss, i know).

Maybe someone will pick up the franchise in the next six or seven years and give us Stan Lee's X-Men.

Fingers crossed. :cwink:

25th Hour is a great movie. Getting the person who wrote that to write Wolverine is definitely a good move.

looks like the origin story for sure

would be cool to see him stab Logan with his new claws tho. That was my fav part in the Origin story.

Yeah Jackman said he's interested in a sequel so...hopefully. We all know there's to much to tell for one movie.

Good point. 25th hour was fantastic, so is Benioff so hopefully we're both right on this.

Benioff is a good writer. When I saw this my hopes were immediately raised for this movie. My best guess is it will follow the origins of Weapon X. I'm kinda glad they're not going into the Japaneses stuff. I don't think that would translate as well to film.

Benioff is one of the writers who did a hack job on the Ender's Game movie scripts, which was rejected by Warner Bros and according to those that read it, completely ignoring the entire message of the book. Based on that, he didn't seem keen on adapting a novel, he wanted to do his own original take on it. I don't see that as a good sign for Wolverine fans.

Read some things Benioff had to say about Logan. He seems to know quite a bit about him.:cwink:

After 2 years of work the script is ready and Fox are taking their time to make sure Wolverine is done right. Giving the director a good amount of time to prep. This is all great but why couldn't they use the same approach with X-Men The Last Stand? It angers me that Wolverine is getting the royal treatment X3 also should have had.

While Benioff got all the time in the world to perfect his script Fox was snapping at the heels of Penn and Kinberg finish theres.

P.S: The writers for X3, Wolverine and Magneto were all signed around same time - fall/winter 2004.

doesnt that makes you hate FOX? Why do they think Wolverine is more rentable than the entire X-men? :( he's not...

that is why Marvel making self-financed movies,
coz FOX changed the complete whole x-men thing.
Wolverine as main character?
who would think about it beside FOX? not even Stan Lee i think

Well I'm glad this is going to be a presequal, and am happy there going to try and get it right this time. I'm also really happy Huge Jackman is going to be in it as Wolverine, he's done an awesome job of the character so far. So yah can't wait ^_^
