Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!!! It's however, too bad that he's still being "rewarded" despite the horrendous job has has been doing at NBC for the past decade.
In a nutshell, under Jeff Zucker's watch, NBC has gone from I think, #1 to #4 (in all intents and purposes, since I wouldn't really consider WB/UPN/CW to be a factor, last place). NBC hasn't been able to create and build hit shows after '90s favorites like Friends, Frasier, Will & Grace, and ER were getting old. Instead, Zucker has preferred gimmicks/quick fixes/penny pinching tactics like "supersizing", a bunch of reality programming, failed spin-offs/remakes (instead of taking risks by doing something more original) like Joey, Knight Rider and Bionic Woman, and putting Jay Leno on in prime time for five days a week.
Zucker also foolishly put Ben Silverman in charge of the entertainment division of NBC (despite being totally unprepared). We already know about the whole "Conan O'Brien gets to host The Tonight Show for only seven months" debacle. Instead, I'll also bring up how NBC overpaid for the rights to the Olympics (the wound up losing I think, $200 million on the Vancouver games alone).
