Warner Bros Has Jesse Eisenberg, Shia LaBeouf In Crosshairs For ‘Arms & The Dude’
by Mike Fleming Jr

EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros and Todd Phillips are starting to get serious about Arms & The Dude, the film that two stoners who become arms dealers. Talks are about to get underway with Jesse Eisenberg and Shia LaBeouf to star in a film that Phillips will direct about the two unlikeliest arms dealers who got a $300 million contract to supply weapons for its allies in Afghanistan. They soon found themselves in danger abroad and in trouble back home because they were completely out of their depth. The pic is based on a Rolling Stone article by Guy Lawson and Phillips has been working on it for years under his Green Hat banner; it becomes the first major project since he joined forces with Bradley Cooper. Mark Gordon is also producing and Bryan Zuriff is exec producer. Jason Smilovic is writing the script.

Eisenberg stars as Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman at Warner Bros, and wrapped American Ultra. He’s repped by CAA and so is LaBeouf, who most recently was seen in the Lars Von Trier-directed Nymphomaniac double feature, and Charlie Countryman. He’s managed by John Crosby.

Jesse Ehrman and Jon Gonda are overseeing the project for the studio.
Sounds potentially great.

Eh. He's done good from time to time.

Between Eisenberg and Shia, that's a lot of potentially annoying acting.

But I was just thinking earlier today that Shia didn't have any projects lined up after Fury.

In a way I'm glad to see this, though I wonder how long it will be until his next "episode".

This sounds absolutely amazing, dat pairing, dat plot, oh yeah

Not as good of a matchup as Shia and Jesse, imo.

Here are some photos, and wow..wow, Jonah Hill gained back all his weight. In fact, I think this is the biggest he's gotten.

I mean hey if he wants to get big again he wants to get big again.

But yeah damn, He looks huge now. Did he do it for the movie?

Kinda a shame if he just gained it back. I feel like that weight loss helped his career a good amount as it did with Chris Pratt.

I get a feeling he just gained it all back, and then some. Because now he's nearly obese and I'm not trying to be mean about it.

The guy he is playing isn't fat so he probably just got fat again lol

The cloths he is wearing isn't doing him any favors though

that's what kinda makes me think some of that is a fat suit, cause his arms and legs look disproportionate to his body....

I mean you can still see it in his face that he gained alot of weight back, but, something about these picture don't look right to me

between the bulky cloths and proportions being off, some of that has to be a fat suit

Bulky clothes? It's shirt and trousers.

It's not a fat suit.

These are the real guys in whom Teller and Hill are playing. Neither of them are fat. (Not do they remotely look like Teller or Hill)

Jesus Christ. For comparison:

I think during Moneyball, that's when he lost so much weight. Then during Wolf of Wall Street, that's when he was starting to gain it back.

That's not "nearly obese." That's full on obese, morbidly obese even.

not bulky... but over sized

Just loose. I think they need to be that big. You want him in spandex? FYI fat men don't wear fat suits. Thin men do. He's clearly put it back on, and then some.

Oh yeah for sure he's bigger here than Superbad.

He seems about as big as he was in The Sitter when he seemed the biggest.

here are some shots of Hill and Teller on the beach together...

(unless Miles is using his Mr. fantastic powers there, he can't be that huge if, he can wrap his arms fully round the guy)

Why are denying so hard that Jonah MIGHT have a weight problem. He's been struggling with it for years, and proof is in the pudding. We're not judging him as a bad person or anything.
