Variety reports that Jessica Alba will topline modern-day fable An Invisible Sign of My Own.

Filmmaker Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom) begins shooting the film, based on Aimee Bender's novel, next month from a screenplay by Pam Falk and Mike Ellis (The Wedding Planner). It is her first feature directorial outing since "Ballroom" (2005).

"Invisible" revolves around a young woman who has retreated from the world and is consumed by numbers and math. Things begin to change when she becomes a second-grade math teacher.

Sounds like a good role for Jessica.

Yes she did. But years of the same crap roles that she does... made it kinda hard to stop being pulled out of the movie whenever she attempts to say smart things.

And it's going to be even worse if they give her glasses....

it's funny now that a few years ago, I thought that alba was the hottest thing on the planet. But as her career goes on, it only occured to me that she's..not that great of an actress. It's funny how people kinda pick on another beauty Keira Knightley for her recent movies, but at least she's trying and she's not wh*ring herself with 'blockbusters'.

Those are the blondes that have faces with..."character". Family Guy has made fun of them for not being that attractive.

She is gonna end up doing roles like Kate Hudson for the rest of her career doing movies with Matthew "I never wear a shirt" MacConaghey.

She is doomed to Dramedies and bad horrors.
