Wow, JJ Abrams is really seeing to become the king of nerdom!

The original Half-Life and its expansions are my favorite video games of all time. And I'm more of a console guy than PC. Never has anything equaled the joy I had playing Half-Life for the first time!

Between this and the Ubisoft adaptations, I can smell a revolution in the video game film genre. But you'll need support like JJ or Ubisoft unless you're all happy with Fox's reboot of Hitman with Paul Walker.

I can't really think of any that would make great games. Star Trek is one but that's being handled elsewhere. Fringe could be interesting.

Freeman is such a blank slate that in the construction of him as a film character it really wouldn't matter.

Yeah, you can't really say "this actor captures Gordon Freeman" because there IS no Gordon Freeman personality wise. I always felt he was kind of on the sarcastic engineer nerd side and hated being thrust into the crap going on, yet very earnest from pictures of what he looks like.
