Josh Duhamel has signed up to Life As We Know It, a new romantic drama that already stars Katherine Heigl. The Transformers star has already shot a role in Kristen Bell rom-com When In Rome, so this is another low-key effort to fit between battles with giant alien robots.

Heigl and Duhamel will play virtual strangers who are left to care for an orphaned girl after their mutual friends are killed in a car accident and leave their child to their respective best friends. Cue, we're guessing, serious life adjustments.

The film's set to be directed by Greg Berlanti, until now best known as a TV producer and writer on shows like Everwood and Eli Stone. Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson wrote the script, but there's no start date for this as yet.
Helen O'Hara.

Wonder how much Heigl will b**** while working on this film. :o

Eh, it looks like a cute trailer. and could possibly be a hit. I mean it has all the making of maybe a hit either a family or girls will see.

But the joke at the end. Really a poop joke? Poop on the face?

It also seemskinda cliche, but I guess some people can over look that.

can you do this? can you leave your child to a couple of your friends?

Yeah, no ****, it's a romantic comedy. They all have one formula. It's starts out that they dont like eachother but eventually they fall in love, happily ever after, blah blah blah.

I want a romantic comedy that ends with the two leads hating eachother. :o

Not a fan of Heigl as a rule but she looks less cold in this and Duhamel is cool, I think it will be a nice slice of fun.

I actually wrote a Raunchy romantic comedy that ends like that. But i'm sure if it would ever get picked up, they want to change the ending. I mean you can only see the happy ending so much.

Duhamel actually looks a bit better here than he was in When In Rome, and Heigl seems okay and not as annoying. It's still a formulatic romantic comedy, though.

He's so damn hot in the trailer!!! First time I ever felt this way about him, well this character more like. :fhm::fhm::fhm::fhm::fhm:

it looks alright. I still can't see Greg Berlanti directing a film like Green Lantern (pre-Martin Campbell) or The Flash.

I don't know if I can co-sign a film that kills off Christina Hendricks in general, let alone in the first act film, as it appears from the trailer. If the roles were switched between her and Heigl, I'd be on board 100%. The film itself looks rather cute. The baby (I assume is played by twins, like most infant roles) is absolutely adorable. My jaw dropped whem Dumahel pushed her down after she stood on her own. Hilarious!!!

Yeah, the poop on the face is a little much, and it's nowhere near as funny as the "chocolate or poop" joke from Baby Mama.

Forgot to post these when they first came out, but here are some new stills.
