CalebYourMaster, whoever told you that should be kicked in the balls with a wingtip.

Go check it out as soon as you can and you will be a better person for it. This movie is more for people. Not girls, not boys, but people who really understand being human.

cool K.B. :) I can kinda relate but in a way, I was adopted and I grew up not knowing who my real father was (still pains me who the heck he was) and seeing Garner holding the baby in her arms...reminded me of what my adoptive mom's reaction was back then. The scene had me in tears. Why? maybe it was the way it was shot which by the way was so beautifully done and Garner made me so emo at the moment... -sniffles- she was so captivating.

Made me realize how dedicated she was to this film cause I see how much she has changed since the birth of her daughter with good ol ben 'kenobi'.

Thats a very good story and I'm glad the movie connected with you

Im a guy by the way... in case. Im usually not that emo all the time but damn seeing her being so motherly like had me in tears. I dunno why but its just... I dunno.

So uh does Vanessa [BLACKOUT]raise the kid on her own...cause she was the only one at the hospital.[/BLACKOUT]

Dude, even though I loved the movie too, you have to admit that this movie was catered more towards females than males.

Not really. How so? Because it deals with pregnancy? Wooopdeeee.....

Because it's from a girl's point of view and women could relate to it more than guys could, unlike "Knocked Up", where both sexes are represented equally.

Someday, I like to adopt when the opportunity arises but I still have a long ways to go. I am still young and well in my mid twenties. I need to focus on what is for me, you know and start a path that may lead to where I want it to go. Like Garner, its never too late to think about raising a family so I'm thinking that I'll be in my early thirties to do this and it made me realize that theres nothing wrong with waiting until your ready which I feel is the right move, you know. Most of my friends I know did it in reverse without rationalizing about the outcome of what would result from it and you know what can you do? You can't go back and undo what you did.

I want to be a screenplay writer... anything to do with writing scripts. My passion is writing. If I could do it all over again, i'd like to erase the last 3 years of my life that I wasted for nothing and replace it with the choices I wanted to make that I couldn't make back then.

... crap. -stops-

anyway... I found it funny when the dog started barking and it caused Juno to snap out of her day dream and then she yelled at it. lol.

lol omg.

so whats everyone's fave part??

People who hate Juno = People who love movies with Hillary Duff and those creepy twins.

Amirite or amirite or amirite?

youarewrong.

It may have the woman as a main character, but you can still relate to her and understand her as a guy. That is like saying only psychos can really appreciate, Psycho. I mean it was Clarice Starling's pov in Silence of the Lambs, for example.

Yes, it is about pregnancy, but it is also about people and they interact, and we are all that. Also, a man did direct this picture.

I saw the movie. It was good, but I'm glad I didn't pay to go see it. Seeing it online was good enough for me. The dialogue was a little overused and it had that Napoleon Dynamite feel to it. I liked both Jason Bateman and Michael Cera. I love Arrested Development so I actually watched the movie for those two guys. But everyone else was great too. Ellen Page was pretty good and I was surprised by Garner's acting. She did very well. And to answer DarknessofDeath:
Yes, I think Vanessa rasies the kid on her own. Bateman's character leaves her and I don't he comes back. I guess it shows you that you don't have to be a perfect couple to raise a child. As long as the kid is loved, that's all that matters.

The one guy in class looked/talked/acted way too much like Napoleon Dynamite.

Exactly :)

Nope, thats actually how the kid looks.

Also this is how you make a Wes Anderson like movie (where everyone is a character) and do it successfully, unlike that p.o.s. Napoleon Dynamite flick. Pretentious s**t. Hess is a hack.

I liked the movie but I think I could've waited for the DVD. I had trouble with the dialogue. I either didn't catch what was being said because she talked too fast or the accent or it was just really loud in my theater.

Question
What was the shirt Bateman was wearing that Garner said she didn't like, and for him to grow up?

"Juno" always seemed to be going for the hipster "indie" crowd. that's why most of the people i've talked to didn't like it; they see too much of what has become standard for a quirky "indie" comedy, following in the shadow of "Ghost World", "Napoleon Dynamite", "Little Miss Sunshine" and Wes Anderson films. that being said, i really like the film. it works on its own, but its influences show and i love them: the aformentioned films as well as a Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino writing style.

so is Juno kinda in the same category as Garden State? i guess what i mean to say is, the same, tone? i dunno the word im trying to find:(

but garden state is good in my book.

Yea, it's kinda got the same feel as Garden State.

not really. the both are hipster-friendly, but "Garden State" is more a "filmmaker" movie, director-driven and character study, like an accesible Paul Thomas Anderson film; whereas, "Juno" is more screenplay-driven and thrives on characterizations.
