Jurassic World - Part 4

Glad it seems like Pratt is showing some range, playing a more serious role. I only associate him as the jokester/goofball.

I’m home today and was just watching Parks and Recreation on FX...I almost forgot that was the same guy.

A little too CGI heavy, but it's also clear the CGI isn't completely done. Other than that, it's perfect. Perfect in every single way.

Star-Lord is literally the only human on Earth with a posse of Raptors.

Looks great . Some of the CG still needs work, but that was a definitely good trailer. Can't wait :D

Basically they can't really go too much farther than what we got in '93 and '98. Those are still pretty damn good CG models. We all know what dinosaurs probably looked like by this point.

If he pulls of this role, then all he'll need to do is a drama (which Im positive he can pull off) and he'll be more than set

I thought it looked fine. I really do have to get around to watching GOTG.

I have a theory about the sky-rail

because all the actual land still has untamed/wild dinosaurs down there so the park was built in places that were quarantined/are safe

yeah, I feel like nostalgia is the main factor here. Nothing 'new' bring brought to the table it seems, outside of cloning manipulation.

You'd think after 2 failed attempts, TPTB would not open another dinosaur park...

Basically what terry here said. How often are there accidents or incidents and failed attempts of things, yet people keep doing it or trying for the sake of money. At the cost of people's lives or it being dangerous. Happens all the time.

Since when does failure stop us from wanting to make money?

I'm not too crazy about the premise, but I guess they had to differentiate from the previous movies somehow.

I won't judge it before I see it of course (please don't break out the pitchforks and torches), but my impression based upon what we're shown in the teaser is...lukewarm at best.

Watched the trailer... nothing new, still the same stuff like before... park, dinos and some nerving people doing mistakes :)
Jurassic Park No. 4 - and i was not over-exicted about the 3 others too!
Did you see one, you did see all :)

Have fun with it...

Seeing Hammond's vision fully realized is borderline emotional for me.

Seeing Chris Pratt lead a pack of raptors and BDH genetically modify a super-killing machine into an even more dangerous super-killing machine is borderline WTF for me.

I won't trash the other sequels. I'll just say this film looks like a lot of fun and I'm glad to see it got made.

CGI-dinosaurs might have been enough twenty years ago, but now? Doesn't see anything in the trailer that makes me reconsider my feelings that this can be one of next summer's big box office disappointments (although an impressive run in China probably will save it somewhat). Just looks like the same old stuff. Dinos running amok. Dinos chasing humans. Humans chasing dinos.

For me it comes down to the obvious. A movie about dinosaurs will be a movie about dinosaurs. There's only so much depth you can reach. You either enjoy the ride or you don't.

Not that I saying you're doing this, but why must people expect so much out of what is clearly marketed and communicated as a "summer fun" movie?

When millions, if not billions, of dollars are on the table, there will always be a business that wants to prove it can make a success out of previous failures.

To those saying its a retread of the others, why would they do it...well, that's the whole point of Life Finds A Way. Not just for the Dinosaurs, but Humans too.

If there is one thing the history of evolution has taught us it's that life will not be contained. Life breaks free, it expands to new territories and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, uh... well, there it is.

Besides, we all know history has a 110% chance of repeating itself, and does in real life.

You really think if something like this happened in real life back in '93, right now in 2014 some investor or something wouldn't be like, "you know, they didn't know what they were doing back then, but we have the technology and the smarts to do it better."

Malcolm & Grant should get together & make Youtube videos explaining why people should never go 2 those islands

Just watched the trailer, did we *need* another Jurassic Park movie? Not really, but I think this looks like it will be fun. Looking at the cast list on IMDb had me wondering just how many Marvel alum are in it (we've got Star Lord, Wilson Fisk, the kid from Iron Man 3..... :funny:)

They'd get laughed at, discredited, or suffer economic consequences for ****ing with the corporation responsible for the new park.

They would get all of that back after the end of the movie
