I don't know about y’all, but ads that proclaim something like "Come try our (food item), it's like mom used to make!" don’t do it for me. Ads like that aren’t very common these days, but most of us have seen them at one time or another. My mom never made many things. She’s never made apple pie, old-fashioned breakfast, and a Southern as I am she’s never fried a chicken either

How about the rest of you, did your mom make a lot of stuff?
