Just Seen Hellboy for the 1st time on...

Blu-ray. went 2 best buy and picked up for 14.99. 1st time i seen the movie and really enjoyed it. i never read a hellboy comic b4. It was different and unique from other comic book films. i usually browse the hype boards then 2nite i noticed Hellboy 2 is coming out next year. cant wait!

I'd like to know how different it looks on Blu-Ray, I can imagine it would look awesome, but I'd like to hear someone's opinion who's seen both.

And yes, the first film is great, if you're going to pick up any comic-book movie that ou haven't seen/heard of, HB is definitely the best choice.

I'd dare say Hellboy is the best comic book movie second to Batman '89. It is the only comic book movie which has a main character that is truly relatable, which is pretty sad considering he is a demon from another dimension whose fate is to destroy the world.

i'm all for you with HB being top 3 or 4, but ugh what a rough choice for best cb movie ever imo

I've gone over my huge lists of problems with the original batman time and time again and wont go into it, but for my money HB towers over B89

I'd like to add that out of all the superheroes that we're supposed to be able to relate to, Hellboy is the only one that I could (and can) actually relate to. Minus the harbinger of the Apocalypse thing, that is.

It is a very good movie, and unlike most comic book movies they weren't afraid to keep the fantasy in it.

Among the best comic book movies that don't try to be something else and are happy and proud to be comic films, the Spider-man trilogy, and Hellboy.

That reminds me, I need to buy HB, I keep thinking I have it. I still have to see the Director's cut.

my favorite comic movie by far,and will always be.i first saw it when it came out on dvd.i watched it,no joke,6 times in a row.

Agreed i loved that aspect of HB, and i think HBII seems to be going down the same road, which i am thankful for.

I am glad you enjoyed it! I too did not read the comics but the film was just so charming and well-done that it became one of the best fantasy films I have ever seen. Plus it’s one of the best time I have had at a theatre. It’s not very often I walk away from the theatre with a big grin on my face. I love Hellboy and the other characters. After seeing that trailer for the sequel, it will not disappoint! I just know it. Plus I will avoid interviews or anything like that so that I don’t hype for it too much!

I love this movie, hadn't had the chance to buy it. I was in walmart and surprise! they had the extended 3 disc box for only 14.00 bucks. The movie hasn't aged, it has great effects specialy with the smaller budget it had(for this kind of movie that is).
