Microsoft have announced a release date and price for Killer Instinct: Season 2.

Killer Instinct: Season 2 will launch on October 15th, Microsoft announced today. The second season of fighters for the game will kick off with TJ Combo and Maya, enhanced game modes and a new game interface.

The “Killer Instinct: Season 2 – Ultra Edition” will be available for $39.99 and will include eight fighters, with a new character added each month, select fighter costumes and accessory packs, and “Killer Instinct 2 Classic”.

Meanwhile, the “Killer Instinct: Season 2 – Combo Breaker” pack will cost $19.99 and includes eight fighters starting with TJ Combo and Maya, and a new fighter added each month. Additional fighters for Season 2 can be bought for $4.99 each.

Microsoft also said you can acquire TJ Combo early by buying the Ultra Edition between September 23rd and October 14th.

Good to see she looks just like her concept art. Also worth noting IG seems to be incorporating facial animations to give that extra layer of personality.

They did an amazing job on rebooting the character. She looks like a player for the advanced crowd though. Won't know for sure until I start playing her. As for the mummy or whatever, it definitely fits KI's ongoing homage to movie monster characters.

I simply love this game and the KI community as a whole, I hope it keeps growing.

Started playing ranked again today, and forgot how insanely addictive it is. I'm going to try to make time to play every weekend at least for 30 minutes so I don't get too rusty. I'm really enjoying the juggle combo and counter breakers. Sadira's beware.
