I debated whether calling it sexual assault was right considering she a) knew about it (albeit only right before) and b) ultimately consented to it but given the circumstances it comes down to it, she had little choice in the matter. I would say she was sexually assaulted.

I doubt she was given the option of saying "no, I don't want to do this" either.

I've never seen this film film in full, but I had no idea about this scene until those interviews came out, and it really made me lose any interest I had in seeing it.

Ina literal sense she had the option but she wasn't aware that actors don't have to film scenes that aren't in the script. Nor was she aware that she had the option of bringing her agent or even an attorney on set to put a stop to the scene.

And Cosby's rape allegations weren't taken seriously until a comedian talked about it. What's your point?

The comedian didn't say Cosby killed his victims, did he?

According to Slushy, if you commit a crime and people call attention to it decades later, it is no longer a crime.

Beyond ridiculous.

Nice try. My complaint was person who called attention lied about the crime by saying it was a different crime. Why is this so hard for posters to understand?

Please Slushy, stop it. You've dug a hole fairly deep that no one wants to defend you right now because it's not worth dying on that hill.

I know we're geeks and we got a lot of pride, but this topic right here..to me there's no debate. I'm sure the movie is still good, but what they did to her did was awful. And unfortunately, while Brando is still one of our greatest actors, as a human being he's always been seedy.

You're the one among others that wants to keep doing this until the cows come home so I don't want to hear it.

No one wants to hear the defense of a sexual assault. No one wants to hear anyone argue the degree of a sexual assault as if that matters. Sexual assault includes rape. No one wants to hear about how it was in the past, so why bring it up now. No one wants to hear how you are upset that someone brought this horrible crime to light for more people and thus it somehow ruined the movie for you. And yet you keep going.

Jessica Chastain is the good person here. And yet you are complaining about her. God.

And that's where the difference is, buddy.

You can :doh::doh: all you want, you'll still get apathy from me.

Hey as evidenced with Chris Kyle, it pays to lie hence my original complaint that some posters liek you got worked up over.

You made a thread to defend the degree of sexual assault committed by two men. What exactly is your brilliant point in doing this? We are still talking about two people who sexually assaulted a 19 year old woman on a film set. They physically violated her and emotionally traumatized her. That they didn't actually penetrate her makes you feel better? A argument that you must make why exactly? How does that make these men better exactly?

You entire argument boils down to, "well they didn't sexually assault her that badly so why is this woman trying to ruin a classic film by bringing it up". What again, is the point of that?

It's not actually, but keep spinning, bro. Its what you do best around here.

Then what is your argument. Spell it out for my simple mind. Because I notice your first post got edited.

And if that isn't your point, explain this post:

It's one of Brando's best films, but now its been ruined thanks to social media:

Or this one,

It's a 44 year old classic that didn't get sh** on until a female director Tweeted about it.

Really does seem your concern isn't for the sexual assault we know took place, but the status of the film. Yeah, who is spinning exactly?

I'm closing this....because it is just basically Slushy defending the sexual assault of a young woman while everyone else says it was a dispicable act that he defends.
