This season has better pacing for its opening few episodes than the fourth season did, but I'm glad it doesn't drop the fun elements in favor of making it gloomy to fit the tone assigned a more serious grimy threat to a depressing degree. The interactions between the turtles and the four human warriors leave more to be desired, more could have been done with this concept than what the showrunners presented.
Every time I think an episode can be considered filler and skipped, it comes back with what it brought in a way affecting continuity, so none of this show's episodes to this point count as filler. The recap episode from season 2 can be skipped though, cause it's a recap.
The other four acolytes return to be useless, the medallions are lost from the turtles but their weapons remain, the Justice Force are not used to what they can fully do, making it a disappointing season. The good news are; it's not a season that ends with a cliffhanger.
Seasons rating:
Season 1 = 8.5/10
Season 2 = 9/10
Season 3 = 8.5/10
Season 4 = 7.5/10
Season 5 = 7.3/10
I have not seen the later two seasons from start to finish, saw a few episodes here and there, so I'm about to change that now, after that I will be watching the 25th anniversary special for the Turtles; Turtles Forever.
