Laverne and Shirley starring Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner, written by..Jamie Foxx

:barf:

I enjoyed Laverne and Shirley probably more than any straight man should and I do not find either of these girls attractive or talented.

Oh Hollywood...:csad:

Marshall said he liked Foxx's comedic writing skills from In Living Color back in the day.

Let me get this straight, you think that Penny Marshall was more attractive than either of these bonafide hotties? Dude, I think you need some glasses, or maybe you should get tested for Glaucoma.

I never said I found Penny Marshall attractive. :oldrazz:

This sounds... pretty bad.

Like Black Honeymooners bad.

Penny Marshall attractive??! maybe after a couple of beers.

How many more 70's TV sitcoms are left for the big screen, Hollywood clearly has lost it.

Hey, you brought up the whole unattractive thing dog. I'm just sayin', either one of those broads look 10 times better than Penny Marshall. Now, if you had said that neither of them is funny enough to play Laverne or Shirley, then yeah, I might agree with you.

Well, their lack of comedic ability goes without saying. :word:

I woulda went with the obvious choices for Laverne and Shirley, that being Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Possibly Lynne Koplitz and Elizabeth Banks. They pull off desprate skank pretty well.

There's still Three's Company and Sanford & Son.

And is it just coincidence that Biel, Garner and Foxx just finished that Valentine movie with Garry Marshall that all of a sudden Marshall recognized Foxx's writing abilities from a 90's sketch show?

You think maybe Marshall and Foxx had a few too many drinks when L&S was brought up?

No, no, no, they had some drinks, shared a couple of hookers, and that lead to the L&S convo.

5 bucks Sam Jackson plays Fred.

Ever since I first saw Coming To America, I always wanted to see Eddie Murphy in old man make-up play Fred, Arsenio Hall as Grady & Will Smith as Lamont, just keep Cedric The Entertainer away from it as any character.

you sure about being straight?

Part of me thinks that there's an interesting story to be told. 50s working class women who don't just want to get married and have kids, but want to experience life first. Kind of a distaff DINER.

Then I remember, it's Hollywood.

i neverreally watch the show when it was on. i might like it now i hadn't seen it in years. i did like the theme song. i rather have mork or mindy with robion williams or happy days moive. i would like to see new hooneymooner with white people and john good man as Ralph Kramden . i would like to see i love lucy moive.

Why are they making this movie ? Also why did they cast two young hot looking actresses that don't seem right for the role.
