Legion of Superheroes

Does anyone think a Legion of Superheroes movie could work? With the popularity of Star Trek, I can easily see the the LOSH being the superhero equivalent of that franchise.

If this were a trilogy of movies, I could see filmmakers revolve around a roster of 5-7 members, and have different background losh members in each movie.

I could easily see Legion done in the vein of Star Trek or Mass Effect.

But, I think Green Lantern is already becoming the superhero equivalent of Star Trek with all the aliens and the Guardians as the authority.

^ exactly... plus with the legalities that would be around a lot the characters would just hold the film down (i.e. Superboy and Brainiac 5)

sure it can easily work as a film. The question though is what characters to use, what villains and how much money they want to spend of the film. For me i think it would be best to start out with an origin to the losh type of movie and limit it to cosmic boy, lighting lad, saturn girl with maybe 1 or 2 others and go from their.

There's no legality around Brainiac 5. DC owns him lock, stock, and barrel. Siegel and Shuster's heirs have a claim on very little after Action Comics #1.

This could be very interesting... a sort of family-sci fi thing. If someone wrote an LOSH with heart, I'd be in love.
