Lionsgate to take on Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth

Gonna be a lotta pissed off Christians.

Wow. When I was reading the book, I was thinking that it would make a fantastic film because of Aslan's beautifully written and very human descriptions of Jesus's life. I am studying filmmaking and I even started writing my own screenplay based on the book. Looks like Lionsgate was ahead of the game.

It's probably a long-shot, but I would love for someone like Steve McQueen to take on this project.

Yeah, you're probably right! A brotha can dream

I'll be impressed if they portray the early Christians as members of the Zealot branch of the then Roman province of Judea.

Sometimes I can't believe someone would get mad about something like this. It puts Yeshua in a damn good light and makes him one of histories most influential "rebels" on planet Earth.

I'd love for Bale to play JC but he's already played him and he's playing Big M on Exodus pretty soon.

Interview:

"You're a MUSLIM (accentuation theirs) so why did you write a book about the father of Christianity?"

I stopped watching right there, Fox News is just too dumb.

:woot:

I love it when interviewers are found out as stupid.
Jesus or Isa/Esa as Muslims call him is a prophet in Islam you morons.

Oh, it keeps going on like that for several minutes. It's hilarious. And very sad.

Even if he's not, Jesus is an important historical figure who should be of interest to intelligent people of any creed or ancestry.

It would be good to see an actual historical take for once.

Finally, a film that will unseat Jesus Christ: Superstar as the most accurate movie about Jesus ever made.

Richard Donner's SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE is the most accurate movie about Jesus ever made. Trust me, I had over 12 years of Catholic School education. :oldrazz: :word: :woot:
