The way fanboy's go on these boards about hating TDKR you would think TDKR is universally hated but it isn't. The complaining on here is only a small drop in the ocean compaired to the way the movie is viewed in the real world.
The same goes for the Transformers films, Iron man 3, Spider-man 3 and X-men 3 etc

Actually most people I've talked to didn't like it too much, calling it too slow, too boring, etc, "Needed the Joker", etc

Critics are generally a lot more patient with movie and can appreciate a slower story if there's substance there.

No offence, but the bolded part is a weak argument. Joker was great in TDK, an integral part of it. But at no point did TDKR try to be TDK. That's the whole point. And a lot of people seem to miss that point, precisely because they're disappointed we didn't get more of the same in TDKR.
