Pretty much what Ive been saying since the first trailer. Tony's argument doesnt have a leg to stand on. He is the only one that needs to be reugned in. And when General Dickweed is showing them the video of New York and Sokovia its as if he is blaming the Avengers for the devestation and deaths and ignoring that the aliens and Tony's AI and Ultron's murderbots were the attackers. The Avenger's were stopping them. And the supreme irony is that if the Avenger's hadnt been in New York or Sokovia they wouldnt be having a meeting about the Avengers because humanity would either be enslaved or wiped out.

And its hard to believe Tony would ever want to hand the Avengers over to the government that was infiltrated by Hydra. It still probably has Hydra sympathizers in it.

Hopefully the film has damn good reason for Tony wanting to do something so incredibly illogical. Otherwise its gonna feel like the writers just forced the character to take a stupid position so that they could have a Civil War film.

^Pretty much what I thought. Avengers AoU all happened due to Tony's inflamed ego many died including on of his teammates twin brother (who no one seems to care about but Steve) yet he hypocritically decides he is impervious to these obvious miscalculations in judgment and wants to deflect on Steve.
