ive been reading Marvel and DC books almost exclusively since i got started on comics 6-7 years ago and now i'm looking for a change of pace. are there any good spy-genre books? i'm really into secret agents, spies, and the whole espionage world and id like to find something within that realm. my LCS recommended "Desolation Jones", and with the little ive been able to find online "Queen and Country" and "Casanova" caught my attention. these any good? anyone have any more suggestions? is there anything out there reminiscent of James Bond? and i want to stay away from stuff like S.H.I.E.L.D. and Checkmate. even if they are very spy-like id like to steer away from tights :oldrazz:.

Casanova is excellent but it is very science fiction. Talking about alternate dimensions, robots of all shapes and sizes, and doomsday weapons.

Desolation Jones is great with some amazing art by J.H. Williams III but it falls into more mystery/noir category. I mean the first story borrows heavily from The Big Sleep. The comic never continued after the start of the second story due to Ellis's computer crashing and him losing most of his notes/story.

I would recommend Sleeper by Ed Brubaker and Sean Philips. It involves a man going undercover in a super villain ring but it's very good.

Queen & Country is one of the best comics out there. Jump on now, and a new novel comes out in October with new comics some time after that.

Queen & Country is all right, yeah. If you like spies, you'll like that.
