'Magic: the Gathering' is being eyed by Legendary and Hasbro as the subject of a new film and TV universe.

Legendary and Hasbro are teaming to create a live-action film and television universe based on Magic: The Gathering, the trading card game marking Hasbro’s first $1 billion brand.

The first project to emerge from the deal will be a film, with TV series and other content to be developed as well as the universe expands.

Not a bad pick. Would be nice if they went out of their way to make this a little more practical. Think The Fellowship of the Ring (with its plentiful make-up and miniature effects) instead of Return of the King.
