Man Decapitated on Greyhound Bus

^ But he IS insane.
Isn't that what the insanity plea is made for, not just to help people you feel "sorry" for but to help those who are not mentally well.Just reading these articles has convinced me that this man is suffering from either bipolar disease or schizophrenia...the latter seems more plausible.

I think that he was suffering for delusions and decided to take matters to his own hands, which isn't uncommon for schizophrenics to do. His lack of emotions and alogia strengthens my case. As I said, if he is suffering from a mental disorder he should go to a mental ward, that way they can help him. Either way he is most likely not coming back into society for the rest of his life and thats the most important thing to know as of now.

I agree. Of course he's insane, normal people don't act that way (no, I'm not defending his actions). Keep him locked up for the rest of his life:up:

Greyhound end an Ad campaign after the incident.

I'm just trying to think why the hell all those people didn't do anything to keep the guy from getting murdered? You'd think the one guy could have been easily taken down by all those people.

Big ass long machete style knife against crowd of people. Machete knife would win. The people on the bus did the only thing they could.

Crowd of people would win...

There would just have been more casualties.

The guy was dead before anyone knew what was going on. It would have been useless to try anything.

I'm sure if someone's head was getting cut off right next to you, you would get your ass out of there as fast as possible.

Exactly; so why bother? I mean, if the guy was already dead by the time anybody really knew what was going on?

They did the right thing by trapping the madman in the bus. That itself took bravery.

Attention is the absolute only thing Westboro Baptist cares about at all. Which is exactly why no one should ever give it to them. Deny them publicity and let them shrivel up and die like flowers without sunshine.

Well said Schlosser.

It's a shame that no one did anything, the people just ran. But this was something I would have thought would make international news.

...I'm so sick of reading this!:csad: Why is it so hard for some people to understand that they couldn't do anything to save him? It was too late! They DID do something though, they locked the mother****er inside the bus...:cmad:

I'd love for the people in the Westboro Church just once to have a tragedy like this happen to them. Maybe they can feel the ''wrath of god" by having their family members heads cut off when they did nothing? See if it's the ''wrath of god" then. :cmad:

This guy better not get off on some insanity plea.

Not sure how the insanity plea works in the US. But over here, if you used it in a similar case you'd still be locked up for life, it'd just be life but in an institution for crazies (or until rehabilitated - which in practice usually means never - or if they are rehabilitated then they stay in anyway for public safety or their own safety etc)

They were scared ****less by a bunch of Winnipeggers who were also going to be at the funeral to make sure they wouldn't protest. They came here, FeExed they're toned down signs in but never came to the funeral. Guess they didn't have faith that God would protect them. It could've got ugly but there were a lot of people united in making sure they wouldn't get near the funeral.

That is awesome. The only way a-holes like the Westboro Church are going to be kept away from protesting things like this is if citizens band together to keep them away. They hide behind free speech laws (which I vehemently and adamantly defend, btw) to do what they do, but they should be prepared to pay the social consequences from their fellow humans for such actions in the same breath. Kudos to the folks who decided to take a stand against such malicious nonsense.
