Got everyone up towards 49 (plus specials), which I just received yesterday.

And yes, they are worth getting. I've stopped using the plinths though, to save up the space.

I saw them first time in the local comic shop and nearly bought 40 of them on the spot! Eventually decided I better do a bit of research first.

I hope they literally make every half decent Marvel character.

Do they stand up without plinths? I was a bit worried about space - I like that these are quite small.

Yup, the most recent two I received through the post were Bullseye and Vision.

They do indeed stand perfectly without a plinth.

I think they're working up to around ninety, and rumours of a Galactus special are floating around.

The magazines themselves are pretty neat too, a nice long read for each one.

Also what's the deal with the specials? Are there standard versions as well? Not sure if I want to double up.

The specials are as follows;

Thanos.
Juggernaut
Colossus
Hulk

I'd say the only one you should avoid is Juggs, I can't stand the odd pose he's in. You'll also get some great standard figures which oddly match the size of the specials, such as Dr Strange, Thing, Doom, Loki, and She-Hulk. Vision is pretty big, too.

I'm in the UK too, and having subscribed to the series, each package through the post so far has cost me roughly £11 for two figures. That's with the magazine, etc.

My local Forbidden Planet does the same too. Just remember, don't bother with the plinths. I stopped bothering with the folders as well.

Forgot to mention, there is two Spidey specials. One which was released when the mag came out, and he's crouching on a gargoyle. The other, is him in his black costume, crouching on a ledge.

Yeah, if I roughly estimate how much it's cost me so far...I'd say, just under £400.
