This is an insanely tough choice. Not only are both awesome but both are awesome in similar ways (gritty street level and cool).
Basically exactly equal to me in how much I love them... But if I had to pick, I'd say there have been more Punisher comics I've liked in the past few years than DD ones.

I read a bunch of Punisher recently. A good amount of that was Max. So he gets my vote. Also he inspired Punisher 2099 and this classic moment.
