Man I missed the deadline I got really inspired last night looking at the ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SPIDERMAN! Anyways I banged out a picture last night and was going to submit to my first contest ever. And i've been trying to get a BIG avvy for ever. Oh well good work all.

Quick question though if i looked at an artist drawing and redrew it myself could I count that? I can't get the stuff out of my head on paper but if someone else drew it I can copy it.

I think your image was a .gif with a transparent background!
The image is a 'preview' shows the black hold-out - you need to click it to enlarge and it should be fine! - Sorry bout that - quirks of the interweb

Well, Using an artist as 'reference' is fine... but to copy an existing piece of artwork and submit that to the contest may get you disqualified!
You can go to the first post of the the ENTER CONTEST HERE to read about using reference etc...

And as for your avatar... you may need to reload it!

Why am I getting a feeling of a cruel joke from EXCELSIOR that if someone with a 100x100 wins he'll go "HAHA YOUR AVATAR'S AS BIG AS IT WILL GET!"?

my assumption is the prize is just a bump to the next level, unless you already have the biggest, in which case... your prize is the joy you gained by making all those posts.

... but that is just my assumption.

good question. when do you think he'll get around to posting the winner? i never submit anything into these contests, so I dont know how long it usually takes after voting closes.
