McG has emerged as the top talent to take on Summit Entertainment's Puzzle Palace, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.

First announced for development last year, the thriller has the son of a police officer who has been framed for murder attempting to prove his father's innocence. To get the evidence he needs, the son plans a break-in to the headquarters of the NYPD, pursued by the men who framed his dad.

The screenplay arrives from David Guggenheim, the man behind the upcoming Safe House.

McG's next, This Means War, hits theaters on February 17, 2012.

The script for Safe House was and good and I like this premise and don't mind McG, it's got potential.

This has the makings of a good action movie. I only hope they don't cast Taylor Lautner for the lead role.
