In the teaser, Wildcat is called upon Batman to help defeating the superstrong Bane. This was a fun teaser. For the fist time, someone actually got Bane's design right. No Mexican wrestlers, gimps, or Red Hulks here. I do wish he would have talked, though. Wildcat was also used better than on his full episode in "Enter the Outsiders!"
As for the main story, Booster Gold and Skeets team up with Batman after he stops the robery of thiefs Punch and Jewelee. Booster believes this will help him with his popularity issues, but Batman is reluctant to team up with a glory hound like him. However, a series of thefts organized by the evil caveman Krull the Eternal force him to recruit the hero. Tom Everett Scott and Billy West reprise their roles as Booster Gold and Skeets, respectively, and continue to be great at it. However, the episode was not as funny as the JLU episode "The Greatest Story Never Told".
I'm confused as to why they combined King Kull and Vandal Savage into Krull, but it worked for the story. I was especially amused by Booster's scene with the toy company CEOs and them rejecting him because he wasn't an "A-list", and suggested him to team up with one. Kind of funny and ironic from the point of view of a fan.
All in all, a fun episode, but it did not feel as hilarious it could have been.
NEXT EPISODE: In the teaser, a flashback shows Batman and Robin teaming up to defeat a villain, but Robin's recklessness cause the villain to become blinded. Then, after foiling Solomon Grundy in Bludhaven, an older Robin is forced to team up with Batman when the villain, now calling himself Crazy Quilt, returns, and seeks revenge.
