This is the only concert film I've ever seen and I'm definitely going to buy it when it comes out. The taping of the concert was amazing - this was the best 3D I've ever seen in that it made me feel like I was right there up on the stage with them. And the side-story was really surreal, intense, and action-packed. Also I'd say I'm more of a casual Metallica fan, so no bias really going in. I really got into their music when I was writing a Supernatural Virtual Series throughout college - as those who know the series, classic rock is that show's trademark staple. So, that was really my big introduction to them. This is everything a concert film should be. 8/10.

I think id like to see this, what's the buzz on this thing? I know the reviews are decent.

i have heard tons of great reviews i know playlist gave it an A-

I didn't see Fade to Black on that playlist, which in my top 2 favorite Metallica songs.

I feel like this would of been awesome like ten or more years ago when the bands music still had a larger presence and relevance in the music world but I'm actually glad to see it reviewing well.

Buzz - it opened on 305 IMAX screens in North America, earning $1.7 million over the weekend, a record opening for a concert film on IMAX screens. Also great reviews.

It seemed really relevant seeing it in theaters. However, that could have been that my head is really in the early 00's lately so maybe that's why it connected so well to the times. But, it was a really awesome concert nonetheless. The music was blasting. And Dane Dehaan's story was awesome and relatable as well -- similarly been in a position like that before (his work - not the awesome apocalyptic riot lol).

But, yeah - I'd say if you want to see it definitely check it while it's in IMAX. The crystal clear 3D images is the best I've seen and the level was ear-bleeding in a good way (it's the loudest I've ever heard anything in a theater).

I'm a huge Metallica fan and can't wait to check this out. I'm glad to hear most of the buzz around this has been pretty much all positive.
