Becca Winstone (Ashley Judd) learns that her son, Michael, disappears while studying abroad, and it's a race against time when she travels to Europe to track him down. A surprising turn of events reveals just how far one mother will go to protect her family. Exotic locations and thrilling twists will keep you riveted in "Missing." How far would you go to save the only thing you have left in the world? At 8 years old, Michael watched as his father, CIA Agent Paul Winstone, was murdered. Now 10 years later, Paul's wife, Becca, is faced with the reality of her son growing up. When Michael is afforded the opportunity to study abroad, his mother reluctantly agrees it's time to let him go. Just a few weeks into his trip Michael disappears, and Becca immediately suspects foul play. When she arrives in Rome, she begins piecing together the clues left behind. It isn't long before the kidnappers realize they've picked a fight with the wrong woman. Becca Winstone has a secret of her own -- before Paul's death, she was also a lethal CIA Agent. But if she wants to find her son alive, Becca will have to rely on old friends and reopen old wounds. Her resourcefulness, skill and determination will be put to the test - but a mother's love knows no limits.

"Missing" stars Ashley Judd ("Double Jeopardy," "Kiss the Girls") as Becca Winstone, Sean Bean ("Game of Thrones") as Paul Winstone, Cliff Curtis ("Trauma") as Dax, Adriano Giannini ("Oceans Twelve") as Giancarlo, Nick Eversman ("Cinema Verite") as Michael Winstone and Tereza Voriskova ("Borgia") as Oksana. "Missing" comes from writer Gregory Poirier ("National Treasure: Book of Secrets") and executive producers Gina Matthews, Grant Scharbo ("The Gates"), Steve Shill (Emmy winner for directing "Dexter" who will direct episodes of "Missing") and James Parriott ("Sons of Anarchy"). "Missing" is produced by Stillking Films.

I don't think Ashley Judd is even in that promo, but I like the idea as I'm a sucker for espionage.

You know what would be nice and refreshing idea?having Sean Bean not die for a change.

Saw this tonight. It was like "Jason Bourne meets Desperate Housewives," but it was entertaining, nonetheless.

And it's not really a spoiler, but a speculation: I seriously don't think Sean Bean's character is dead. For one thing, you don't hire an actor like him to be plot-fodder in the first minutes of the show.

I had pretty much the same opinion as soon as who I saw the husband/dad was. Even if it wasn't someone as notable as Sean Bean, it still has 'supposed surprise twist' written all over it.

All in all, it was a decent 60 minutes. I'll give it a few eps to see what develops.

It moved at a breakneck pace but with only 40 minutes to hook people in I thought it did a good job of setting up the intrigue, the support players and allowing the audience to get behind Judd's character, they even got some action in.

I agree that Bean is still alive although I'm not sure how, but he made sure his son had to go back into the building before the car blew up.

Sean Bean's character is definitely not dead. Is it in his contract to have a "death" scene in everything he does? :oldrazz:

Watching it now and I like it. Ashley has aged very normally, she def looks her age nowadays.

Solid 2nd episode. I enjoyed the Pilot as well. Kind of a Bourne meets Taken in some aspects. Lots of intrigue. Great action. Ashley Judd is still a hottie and I love seeing her being a badass.

That's pretty much *exactly* what my mom said when we watched it. We had missed the pilot when it originally aired but thankfully were able to DVR the repeat of it the other night (and just in time to then go almost immediately to episode 2).

I'm really liking it so far (which, knowing my luck means it will probably end up cancelled ) I definitely agree that Sean Bean isn't dead.

I've always liked Ashley Judd, she's beautiful and has a real strength to her. I liked episode 2, the action is well shot and the intrigue has me hooked in as there is so much going on with the CIA and other agencies in the background as Becca searches for her son.

Missing 1x03 - Promo - Ice Queen

Apparently there's an ep airing tonight instead of Thursday.

Last nights ep was the best so far, now the son has an actual role and we are getting a broader look at the scope of what is going on. I'm wondering if the girl was playing the bad guy when she said he's starting to trust her or if she was playing Michael.

I changed my mind...I can't get into the series. To be honest i'm tired of the whole "I need to save my son!!" thing...the action is good...characters are good...but I just can't get into the story. I like Nikita WAY better.

How many other action shows that have to save their sons. Though I wonder how long they will keep it up. If this gets renewed is she going back into the CIA or whatever full time?

Great episode this week. There was quite a bit revealed. The story is really coming together with plenty of twists along the way. I didn't see a certain character's turn coming at all.

Does anyone know why they keep airing this on tuesday than again on Thursday?

Agreed, the pieces are starting to fit into place and the mystery is broadening, I didn't see the turn coming nor did I see the twist in the flashback coming either.

You have to be [BLACKOUT]one heartless SOB to kill your birth mother with no hesitation like that. [/BLACKOUT]

Sadly this has been canceled but I really hope that they tie everything up at the end of the season. If they do then I will go ahead and get the dvd whenever it comes out.

Was there an ep last night?

nope, wasn't shown anywhere else as of yet... I THINK they broadcast it on Tuesdays in Canada on CTV or Global or whatever, but they're waiting to end it all tonight...

Ah I see, is it a 2 hour finale?
