it be cool if they did something like that "war world" episode from the Justice league cartoon. but if i had my choice i would want to see darkseid

I think Mongul's a relatively bland villain... somewhat generic and, with purple and gold, just a wee bit cheesy. While he has his strong points, he can just as easily be replaced with Mongul Jr or Mongal (and has been), and Darkseid does everything Mongul does and more of it...

The only thing Mongul has going for him is the War World concept, however, not only does he lack the coolness of many other space-based villains, but he has no emotional center to tie back to Superman and his personal life...

Everyone loses, I'd prefer not to see Mongul.

The thing is being bland gives Mongul one major advantage, he doesn't have the the interesting, but long and convoluted backstory Darkseid has, which would be hard to shoe into the Superman movie series. Plus some fans feel darkseid should be far more powerful Superman and think it would be a diservice for Superman to defeat Darkseid, they would feel Darkseid would have to be watered down to be beaten by Superman, which is not the case with Mongul. Plus Mongul may not be as interesting as Darkseid, but he has his moments (For the Man Who Has everything, for example). Darkseid may be the better villain, but Mongul would be easier to bring to the screen.

given Singer's current track record for the Superman franchise, getting Mongul onscreen would be considered fresh.

i've never seen that one i'm not a big fan of JL or JLU i just watch the episode as i see them. i like all the darkseid and Brainiac ones i've seen all of them.
