I don't know if I'm going to buy Skarlet. Unfortunately the online for this game has been a **** show since release and I haven't touched the game much lately... maybe the release lull coming up will get me to finish the Challenge Tower.

I do, but not enough to pay five dollars per character when I don't play online. I can just watch her ending on youtube.

If I played it online, I may be able to justify it, but I don't.

You get the four DLC characters for the price of 3 if you pay for all of them ahead of time. This will of course also include MK3 Sektor and Cyrax with the first character and I am sure future costumes (I imagine Noob and Smoke with get the classic costumes with Kenshi)

I would probably do this if offered for PS3 users since I am slowly getting into online play (still getting more rage quitters and slow down than I am used to with MvC3 or SF4).

whats wrong with $5 per character? you get free sektor and cyrax klassic alts, and skarlets alt has been sneaked so im almost positive that will be included when you buy her. How is that unfair, MVC3 wants the same for a character with no extra costumes or even an alt......??? werent jill and shumah even more then 5$ each??

I don't think anybody is defending MVC3, either. Just because Capcom doesn't doesn't mean NRS should. Hell, wouldn't it be better for NRS if they had competitive prices?

I think the $5 would be easier to swallow if they included a bunch of costumes with it, and not just Skarlet's alternate either. Cyrax/Sektor don't count because they're free with the patch, which is cool, but if they had made Skarlet bundled with like 3 alternates it would've made more sense to me. I also would've bought it if that were the case.

It's not even like she's a fan favourite or something either; this is her first appearance.

So, every release will come with 2 free DLC skins? Okay, it's kinda hard to get pissy about pricing if that's the case.

Uhh I know that. I'm saying that every time a new DLC character is released (Rain, Kenshi, etc.) they're going to release 2 more free character skins along with their compatibility packs. That's pretty awesome.

I'm reading it that if u buy the compatibility u get the free skins, not that every compatibility pack to come will get skins. It's like an appliance salesman saying "and every refrigerator comes with a free toaster". That doesn't mean that every fridge from now on comes with a toaster.

So no I don't think NR will be giving us two skins each time a dlc character is released.

Well, I'm pretty sure you're wrong. First, you don't "buy" the compatibility pack. It's a free download. The skins come with the free download. Second:

Further, in order to allow for seamless online play with the new downloadable warriors, free compatibility packs will be required to download with the release of each new warrior. As an added incentive, each compatibility pack will come with two FREE klassic skins – the first of which are being released with Skarlet will be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 inspired Cyrax and Sektor.

So, unless the article is wrong, each DLC fighter release will also be accompanied by a new FREE compatibility pack that includes two FREE alternate outfits.

So they patched the 360 version, but there's all sorts of issues with it. Ranked is much better, but I get dropped connections in Private Matches like every second match. It's horrible.

Rain looks good and is miles better than the Armageddon costume. Hope his alternate is even better. Doesn't look like they went with the Prince route with him.
